Objective: The work of the Future of Policing Project and the PIPMI review includes consultations with other ministries such as Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, that will inform the development of proposals for legislative, regulatory and policy change in the area of police service delivery, including how to improve police response to persons with mental illness.
Outcomes: Proposals for legislative, regulatory and policy change are anticipated in spring 2015.
