The Passenger Protect Office contributes to the security of air transportation. The Office supports the roles and authorities of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness in relation to the Passenger Protect Program and the Passport Program.

A Canadian Travel Number prevents delays at the airport for travelers who have the same, or similar, name as someone on the Secure Air Travel Act (SATA) list.
