Rationale Robust and efficient regulations are reviewed periodically and amended as required to align with intended policy objectives, evolving legislation and government priorities.

Review of these proposed new regulations would occur three years after implementation of the new regulatory proposal which is anticipated in 2023 as part of a statutory requirement for a legislative review.
Date of last review or amendment (Year) Regulations under SATA were initially published in 2015 and have been reviewed as part of the current regulatory development pursuant to Bill C-59. This review has also considered recommendations from the Standing Joint Committee on the Scrutiny of Regulations.
