Summary of recipient's annual plans

Avalanche Canada will continue advancing its core priorities including adaptation, innovation, and strategic initiative to enhance public safety.

Adaptation efforts will maintain staffing, IT infrastructure such as AvID forecasting software, and update training curricula to ensure reliable, high-quality services. Innovation will improve snowpack modeling and dynamic forecasting, expand bilingual product delivery, and foster research partnerships, leading to more accurate forecasts and broader accessibility.

Strategic projects will enhance safety and engagement by launching the Fatal Avalanche Incident Database, automating terrain mapping for precise risk assessments, expanding the Mountain Information Network (MIN) to increase real-time reporting, and commemorating Avalanche Canada's 20th anniversary with national outreach activities.
