The Women’s Network PEI (WNPEI) Girls Circle project will work with approximately 168 at-risk girls ages 10–12 throughout Prince Edward Island (PEI) by offering them a structured support group that integrates relational theory, resiliency practices, and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connections, personal and collective strengths, and competence in girls.
The Girls Circle program sites will be located in seven locations across the province including a francophone and a First Nations site. The program will also work in partnership with the PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada in order to maximize the diversity of the target group.
