The recipient will deliver and evaluate five multi-faceted skill-building alternatives to youth alcohol misuse and other reckless behaviours: a youth literacy program (ie reading development skills); Moose Camp (ie traditional skills and connection to the land); cultural exchange (ie empowerment skills and cultural pride); youth/Elder workshops (ie creative skills and cultural traditions); and information technology workshops (ie marketable employment skills). Provincial partnerships will be established for governance of the project made up of participating community representatives and organizations. |
