The Canadian Red Cross will work with community partners to help create safer environments for the children and youth in 49 Aboriginal communities in Quebec and 24 Aboriginal communities in Atlantic Canada. Community Prevention Educators will be trained with violence prevention knowledge and facilitation skills. They will offer presentations relating to abuse, neglect and relationship violence to young people and adults that work with youth. Through their participation, youth will learn skills to help them develop healthy relationships and adults will gain knowledge to proactively build safer relationships within their organizations and communities. |
