Operations - Overview
In your role as Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, you and your office will work with numerous officials across the Portfolio, each of whom leads or supports a distinct government-wide or portfolio process.
The following notes have been prepared to provide some high level background and contextual information on a selection of operations and processes:

These notes provide an overview of each process, describe roles and responsibilities, and outline key dates and timelines. The department uses a variety of tools to engage and update you and your office on these and other items. Notably, a weekly departmental-Minister’s Office “Lookahead” meeting provides pertinent information (e.g., Cabinet and Parliamentary update, Communications calendar, Treasury Board Submission calendar, litigation update, etc.) on an ongoing basis and will provide an opportunity for discussion about a variety of issues, milestones and events.
