Ottawa, Ontario, October 3, 2012– The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, and the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, made the following statement after the Cour de Québec found Reha Ozcelik and Ecehan Ozcelik, guilty of immigration fraud and fined them a total of $120,000.

"Our Government will not tolerate the deliberate abuse of Canada's immigration system. We commend the Canada Border Services Agency on their diligent work, and for upholding the integrity of our immigration system through this investigation. Our message is clear: individuals who choose to commit fraud will be caught and punished."
