Summary

It is inevitable that disaster will someday strike America on an unprecedented level. This docudrama imagines the story of a family in a future Los Angeles reeling from a global flu pandemic. With billions dead around the world and America left in chaos and panic, the Johnson family tries to escape the city as the infrastructure collapses and society deteriorates. Looting, violence, gang activity, lack of food and water: the threats to the Johnsons' survival are myriad. Interspersed with the dramatic re-enactments are expert interviews that provide insight into historical examples of societal breakdown.
