Microsoft Security Update – Out-of-Band

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to a recently released Microsoft Security Critical Update.

Assessment

The advisory covers an out-of-band support package deployment addressing a remote code execution vulnerability when the Windows Host Compute Service Shim (hcsshim) library fails to properly validate input while importing a container image.

Suggested Action
