EXIM Mailer Security Update

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to the recently released security updates for EXIM internet mail server.

Assessment

EXIM has released a security patch to address a use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability in Exim Internet Mailer which could lead to the execution of arbitrary code or DoS.

Suggested Action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor released update version 4.89.1 on affected platforms accordingly.
