Samba Security Update

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to the recently released security update for Samba.

Assessment

Samba has released security patches to address vulnerabilities which could allow a malicious actor to perform man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks and/or exploit server memory leaks.

Affected Versions: All versions are affected.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly or workarounds to affected platforms accordingly.
