Mitigation Strategies for Malicious Emails

Purpose

The purpose of this Information Note is to draw attention to a recently released guide from the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) concerning malicious email mitigation strategies.

Assessment

The ACSC has released a document which explains various mitigation strategies an organization can undertake to prevent and minimize damage and impact from malicious email threats.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators review ACSC's Malicious Email Mitigation Strategies document. Any guidelines considered for your organization should be evaluated and tested before implementation.
