McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux Updates

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to security updates for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux.

Assessment

Intel – McAfee has released a security bulletin concerning an update to McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux that fixes multiple vulnerabilities. The severity of these vulnerabilities range from high to medium and could allow an attacker to take control of a system.

Version affected: 2.03 and earlier

Suggested Action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators review the security bulletin in the context of their infrastructure and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected platforms accordingly.
