Cisco Multiple Denial of Service Security Advisories

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to multiple Cisco security updates.

Assessment

Cisco released multiple security updates to address Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerabilities that when exploited will cause a device to reload. The following software’s are affected:

Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances
Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Next-Generation Firewalls
Cisco ASA Services Module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers
Cisco ASA 1000V Cloud Firewall
Cisco Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv)

Suggested Action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
