Adobe Security Bulletin Summary for October 2014

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to the Adobe Security Bulletin Summary for October. The summary covers two critical bulletins, which address multiple vulnerabilities in some Adobe products.


Adobe has released the following security bulletins:

APSB14-22 - Security updates available for Adobe Flash Player

Details: These updates address vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

Adobe Flash Player and earlier versions
Adobe Flash Player and earlier 13.x versions
Adobe Flash Player and earlier versions for Linux
Adobe AIR desktop runtime and earlier versions
Adobe AIR SDK and earlier versions
Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler and earlier versions
Adobe AIR and earlier versions for Android

CVE Reference: CVE-2014-0558, CVE-2014-0564, CVE-2014-0569

APSB14-23 - Hotfixes available for ColdFusion

Details: These hotfixes address a security permissions issue that could be exploited by an unauthenticated local user to bypass IP address access control restrictions applied to the ColdFusion Administrator.

Affected Products: ColdFusion 11, 10, 9.0.2, 9.0.1 and 9.0 for all platforms.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
