Security Updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to recently released critical security updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat.


Adobe has released Security Bulletin APSB13-25 to address a regression that occurred in version 11.0.04, which affected the Javascript security controls. The regression permitted the launch of Javacript scheme URIs when viewing a PDF in a browser.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
