Oracle Security Alert for Java SE Critical Update - February

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to the following critical Oracle Java SE patch updates.


Oracle released a critical patch update ahead of schedule due to active exploitation “in the wild” of vulnerabilities affecting the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in desktop browsers.This Critical Patch Update contains 50 new security fixes for Oracle Java SE, 49 of which are related to vulnerabilities that may be remotely exploitable without authentication.

Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply the aforementioned fixes as soon as possible.

CCIRC recommends that systems administrators identify their affected assets and potential interdependencies with organization's critical services and follow their patch management process accordingly.
