SARscene is an annual event which facilitates coordination and implementation of search and rescue (SAR) activities in Canada, and serves as a multi-stakeholder forum for discussing SAR issues and information sharing. Participation is open to any interested parties, departments, organizations concerned with SAR, including members of the private sector, all levels of government, and non-governmental organizations. Please see below for the 2017 Proceedings for the event held in Winnipeg.
SARscene 2018 is being deferred to spring of 2019.
A strategic planning session will be scheduled in fall 2018 with the Search and Rescue (SAR) leadership from across the country to help inform priorities and the organization of our next conference.
Planning efforts have begun to deliver SARscene 2019 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, with Nova Scotia Emergency Management Office as the provincial co-host, in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Ground SAR Association.
Public Safety Canada, working in close collaboration with the diverse range of stakeholders in the SAR community, remains committed to working with SAR partners on advancing SAR in Canada.
We look forward to seeing many of you at SARscene 2019 in Nova Scotia.
