Statement by the Hon. Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety Canada, on the death of Provincial Constable V.D. (Vu) Pham of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment:

March 8, 2010 - “I was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of V.D. (Vu) Pham of the Ontario Provincial Police. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and colleagues. This event is a harsh reminder of the dangerous conditions faced daily by the men and women of our law enforcement agencies as they work to protect the safety and security of Canadians.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Provincial Constable Pham as they deal with this tragic loss.”
