St. Lawrence Seaway Reopen
To update Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR10-135, on 16 July, the CBC reported that a large hole on the bulk carrier Richelieu's fuel tank was repaired with a 10 metre-long steel plate, and although crews continued to clean up the spill, the seaway was reopened.

North Shore of the Asia-Pacific Gateway Keeps Expanding
On 14 July, Transport Canada announced the start of construction on the Lynn Creek Rail Bridge and Brooksbank Avenue Underpass project in North Vancouver, B.C. This $21 million federal investment will improve access to ports and railways, strengthening trading connections overseas. This project, delivered through Port Metro Vancouver, involves building a new bridge to carry eight new rail lines to widen the existing port rail corridor, and expanding the Brooksbank Avenue underpass in order to improve railway access to and from Port Metro Vancouver’s Neptune and Lynnterm West terminals in North Vancouver.
