B.C. mudslide: Update
To update on Pubic Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR10-115, on June 15, Radio-Canada reported that most residents of Oliver, B.C., were able to return home on June 16 and that Highway 97 was reopened.

CFIA issues Expanded Health Hazard Alert for certain cooked meat products due to possible Listeria
Further to Public Safety Canada Daily Infrastructure Report DIR10-113 , on June 16, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued an Expanded Health Hazard Alert to include additional distribution information regarding the ready-to-eat cooked meats from Establishment 294 that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products have been distributed in retail and deli stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

Government of Canada moves to further enhance air transport security
On June 14, Transport Canada announced that the Government of Canada is launching a full review of The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, or CATSA, the agency responsible for the country's air transport security. The purpose of the review is to enhance the safety and security of air travellers. The government is seeking stakeholders' input to determine whether changes are required to better serve Canadian industry and the travelling public.

Government funding for municipalities’ infrastructure projects
On June 16, Infrastructure Canada announced that 29 municipalities in Huntingdon, Quebec, will receive $20,619,001, approved for the purposes of the federal-provincial agreement on the transfer of a portion of federal gasoline excise tax revenues and the Quebec government's contribution in order to carry out major infrastructure projects and for public transit. The objective of this federal-provincial agreement is to provide funding for the renewal of municipal and local infrastructure within a context of sustainable development and particularly for drinking water, wastewater, local road networks, solid waste management and energy efficiency improvements of buildings.
