Security Updates for Mozilla Firefox

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to a recent Firefox security update.

Assessment

On December 2nd 2014, Mozilla released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Firefox and Thunderbird. The severity of these issues ranges from moderate to critical.

CVE References: CVE-2014-1588, CVE-2014-1589, CVE-2014-1590, CVE-2014-1591, CVE-2014-1592, CVE-2014-1593, CVE-2014-1594, CVE-2014-1595, CVE-2014-8631, CVE-2014-8632.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
