Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for August 2014 - Update

Purpose

Microsoft has removed security update 2982791, 2970228, 2975719 and 2975331 that were provided as part of security bulletin MS14-045 (security update for kernel-mode drivers). They were removed due to unintended repercussions from the installation of these updates. Problems include issues with fonts but most notably a 0x50 stop error (2982791) which may prevent the system from starting correctly.

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that organizations implement vendor's update accordingly as per references below.
