Oracle - OpenSSL Heartbleed Vulnerability

Purpose

The purpose of this Alert is to bring attention to recently released security updates for various Oracle products.

Assessment

Oracle has released security updates for the following products to resolve the OpenSSL issue:

  • Oracle Big Data Appliance (includes Oracle Linux 6) [Product ID 9734]
  • Oracle Communications Interactive Session Recorder 4.0.0 and later [Product ID 10765]
  • Oracle Linux 6 [Product ID 1309]

Suggested action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor released updates to affected platforms accordingly.
