Evaluation
In the Government of Canada context, Evaluation assesses the extent to which a program, policy or initiative addresses a demonstrable need, is appropriate to the federal government, and is responsive to the needs of Canadians. Evaluation also studies the extent to which effectiveness, efficiency and economy have been achieved by a program, policy or initiative. Evaluation supports accountability to Parliament and Canadians by helping to credibly report on the results achieved with resources invested in federal government programs.
Please note that information from evaluation reporting material is presented with respect for provisions of the Access to Information Act, the Privacy Act, and the Policy on Government Security. As such, text within these documents that may not be disclosed is shown as [ * ].
